The candidate that is hired for this part-time position will be required to teach at our local campus in Western Washington Campus. This is not a virtual or online course.  Only candidates that are able to teach at this specific campus location should apply.

Responsibilities

  • As a faculty member you’ll be challenged with adding your professional expertise to instruct a curriculum which is centrally developed with specific learning objectives.
  • Provide timely and detailed feedback on a weekly basis and offer student support via classroom, phone, and email.
  • Utilize classroom learning system technology (provided by university), the Internet, and Microsoft Office software. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:


MUST meet one of the numbered pathways below, as well as any applicable clarifications stated, (including education, area of study and previous work experience, including minimum number of years and types of experience):

  1. Juris Doctorate, Master of Laws, and/or Doctorate in Law which includes a Doctor of Judicial Science, Doctor of Jurisprudence, PhD/Law, or a Doctor of Comparative Law, AND a current Certificate of Good Standing from the State Bar or highest court of the state indicating active status (unless inactivity is due to judgeship) with eligibility to practice law.
  2. Juris Doctorate, Master of Laws, and/or Doctorate in Law which includes a Doctor of Judicial Science, Doctor of Jurisprudence, PhD/Law, or a Doctor of Comparative Law, AND a copy of the State Bar web site with current licensure status of active (unless inactivity is due to judgeship) and eligible to practice including the web site address printed on the page.


ADDITIONAL CLARIFICATIONS:


Degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.

If State Bar or highest court of the state indicates inactivity due to judgeship, documentation must be provided.

 

Master’s Clarification: All faculty must have a minimum of 6 applicable credits and all faculty must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a clinical nursing practice setting with a minimum of 3 years’ current experience as a Nurse Practitioner (NP).
