The candidate that is hired for this position will be required to teach at our local campus in Kapolei, HI.  This is not a virtual or online course.  Only candidates that are able to teach at this specific campus location should apply.

Responsibilities

  1.  As a faculty member you’ll be challenged with adding your professional expertise to instruct a curriculum which is centrally  developed with specific learning objectives.
  2.  Provide timely and detailed feedback on a weekly basis and offer student support via classroom, phone, and email.
  3.  Utilize classroom learning system technology (provided by university), the Internet, and Microsoft Office software. 
  4.  Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:


MUST meet one of the numbered pathways below, as well as any applicable clarifications stated, (including education, area of study and previous work experience, including minimum number of years and types of experience):


(1) Master's degree or higher in a healthcare administration or human resources related field and a minimum of 5 years' experience in human resources in healthcare industry organizations within the last 10 years and either 9 graduate credits in human resources or a current PHR, SPHR, or GPHR certificate.
(2) Master's degree or higher in any field and 18 graduate credits in a healthcare administration and/or human resources and a minimum of 5 years' experience in human resources in healthcare industry organizations within the last 10 years. Of the required 18 graduate credits, 9 must be in Human Resources. A current PHR,SPHR, GPHR certificate may be used in lieu of the 9 graduate credits in Human Resources.

ADDITIONAL CLARIFICATIONS:

  • Degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Possible applicable degree specializations can include but are not limited to: Business Administration; Nursing; Public Administration; Organization Development/Leadership/Management. 
  • Faculty may demonstrate current expertise (currency) in the content area through consulting; additional certifications , published research, and/or professional presentations in the content area within the last 10 years.
